Our aim at UniqMinds.

Our focus at UniqMinds is to provide support to schools, parents, carers, and most importantly, young people, aged between 12 and 16, who might be finding mainstream education challenging.

We provide a safe and encouraging environment, where our students feel listened to, engaged and confident to explore the right path of education for them.

We focus on providing an encouraging environment.

There are many reasons as to why mainstream education might be proving a challenge for a young person, be it an unstable homelife, lack of role models in their life, or perhaps mental health issues.

Whatever the reason behind it, UniqMinds are here to support the student and their network in finding their feet again, and encouraging learning in a way that works for them.

Reviews

The work we have completed across The Mead Educational Trust in conjunction with First Legion gym has made a significant impact to the progress and attainment of some of our highest profile pupils and students. Jamie and his team are incredibly passionate about their sports as well as the needs and character development of the pupils they work with.

I work at an SEMH school in Leicester city centre, and have seen first hand the benefits and positive impact that the work 1st Legion Gym has on young people in our city who need it most. Charlie, Josh, George and Jamie have always worked brilliantly with our young people who have a wide range of complex needs. Their ability to communicate, teach, and relate to our young people is a huge part of why the interventions have been successful.

Charlie's profound influence on my children's lives has been nothing short of transformative. His dedicated martial arts instruction has not only equipped them with vital self-defense skills but has also nurtured the cultivation of core values such as respect, discipline, and perseverance. The holistic impact of Charlie's teaching and mentorship is evident as my kids now exhibit enhanced focus, heightened self-assurance, and a profound sense of respect, standing as a testament to Charlie's exceptional ability to inspire growth and positive change.

I've known Charlie O’Neill for five impactful years in a professional capacity. As a dedicated Childcare Practitioner at Watermead Care from 2017 to 2021, Charlie's passion for looked after children shone brightly. He skillfully managed paperwork, embraced care planning, and seamlessly applied training to real-world scenarios. His leadership, composed demeanor, and engaging approach formed strong bonds with the care team and young individuals alike.
